AI-Assisted Evidence Mapping: A Century of Scholarship on Youth Gangs
Designed a two-stage evidence-mapping methodology (ongoing) for a systematic literature review on youth gangs in Türkiye, covering scholarship from 1910 to 2026.
Drew on meta-bibliographies spanning 1910–2017. Combined meta-bibliography screening with forward citation snowballing (2017–2026) and targeted database searches.
Built a human-in-the-loop (HITL) AI-assisted qualitative coding framework across an 8-dimension matrix including framework, methodology, youth definition, problem definition, geography, intervention/policy suggestions, etc.
Current status: Partnering with a co-author to develop the initial design into a peer-reviewed article for international publication. A joint project development with a youth research association currently underway.
Market Segmentation for a Grant-Matching Platform
Building on an existing civil-society ecosystem map, used organizations' presence on donor-management and crowdfunding SaaS platforms as a proxy for fundraising capacity and digital-tool adoption.
Applied an open-source sentiment analysis (available here) of public social media content scraped via Apify to verify thematic alignment, producing a data-driven, pre-qualified briefing layer for a grant-matching platform for its sales and business development efforts.
Current status: Advisory stage, exploratory.
Export Data Trail Audit and Establishing Baseline CRM
Leveraged AI-driven Python scripts to analyse 10 years of unindexed export archives across hundreds of client folders, reconstructing the full sales and order lifecycle, mapping every lead's exact pipeline stage, drop-off point, and final status.
Mined three years of raw email correspondence to build a prospecting and lead-scoring system from scratch: extracted and grouped contacts by company domain to identify buying committees, and quantified inbound/outbound message volume as an engagement signal.
Cross referencing export archives email correspondence, I turned an unstructured inbox and unindexed archive into a structured, ranked business development target list. Established a baseline customer Master Data set.
Current status: Providing consultancy to an ERP solutions provider, applying this methodology to their client base.
Mapping Oganisations & Inferring Capacity from Public Data
Designed a data-driven ecosystem mapping methodology for grant-making institutions and agencies serving civil society. Consolidated beneficiary data from multiple grant schemes into a unified dataset coded by thematic area and geography.
Enriched the dataset with AI-assisted digital footprint analysis (social media presence and presence on donor-management and crowdfunding platforms) to predict communication and fundraising capacity from publicly available data.
Used seed-organization network discovery on social media to surface organizations absent from any published beneficiary list.
Current status: Accepted by the initiating client organisation; contract is finalised pending availability of funds on their end. Separately, in discussions with an enterprise providing services to civil society and media on a commercial partnership.
Mixed Methods Cultural Venue Performance Measurement
Designed a two-phase M&E instrument for tracking branch-level performance across a network of arts course centers: a baseline assessment combining survey and in-depth interview methods, followed by quarterly performance tracking.
Structured indicators spanning operational capacity, audience reach, financial performance, communications, digital presence, and AI tool adoption, with survey items capturing quantifiable metrics and interview questions probing the satisfaction and experiential detail behind the numbers.

Coordinating Policy Literacy Project for Youth
Coordinated a member-only capacity-building programme for youth organisations at the de facto National Youth Council of Türkiye. The project was structured around workshops on legislative literacy, engagement with public institutions, followed by study visits to national and international public institutions in Ankara.
Helped run a parallel youth research study, conducted jointly with public institutions and youth organisations, to map current needs and gaps in the field. Outputs from the workshops, study visits, and research were compiled into an open-access booklet shared with youth and civil society organisations. Completed financial and narrative reports measuring impact.

Leading a Local Migrants' Presence Monitoring Team
Successfully led and managed a project team of three while directing complex data collection processes across 17 administrative districts. Oversaw the comprehensive collation of city-wide geographical data, ensuring database integrity and relevance. Accountable for reporting, prepared and delivered timely, verified project updates to the International Organization for Migration (IOM) team in Istanbul under Migrants' Presence Monitoring program.
Completed in 2021.
Delivering a Structured Workshop Series as Part of a Controlled Research Study
Facilitated online workshop sessions for an experimental intervention study on ageism among youth, delivering a manualized six-session protocol to small groups (4–8 participants) under a pretest-posttest controlled design. Managed session logistics within an anonymized digital platform (screen-sharing, live polling, breakout facilitation), gathered end-of-session participant feedback on group dynamics, and contributed facilitator-level assessments of group social presence as one of the study's own measured variables. Workshops were delivered under significant pandemic-era and general data protection constraints.

Mapping Evidence for the role of Emotions in Climate Change Policy Support
Merging Psychology Bachelor's with International Relations Master's degree, co-developed search protocols using targeted keywords, executing systematic searches on academic platforms, and maintaining rigorous documentation of search methodology for auditability. Performed evidence mapping by coding literature based on topic, case, and relevance, and independent variables to facilitate the conversion of theoretical constructs into a structured, quantitative dataset suitable for statistical modeling.
